Cuelux now available on Linux
Cuelux software lighting control is now available for the Ubuntu Linux operating system. Ubuntu is the most popular distribution of open-source Linux OS. It’s free-of-charge and renowned for it’s stability.
Cuelux is a cost-effective DMX512 lighting controller for intelligent, conventional and LED lighting. It offers a darkened and touch screen optimized graphical user interface, industry-standardized cuelist system, iPhone remote control and can be used in 10 different languages. Cuelux has Plug&Play support for MIDI control surfaces that include fader wings, motorized faders and button stations.
With the new software release for Linux, Cuelux is now a truly multi-platform lighting software package; Cuelux was already available on Mac OSX and MS Windows (with both 32 bit and 64 bit drivers available). The advantage of a multi-platform system is that every user can choose his own preferred operating system in which he feels technically comfortable and in the case of Linux, even reducing the cost of the computer system and increasing the reliability.
We will showcase Cuelux for Linux, Mac OSX and Windows during the PLASA2010 tradeshow in London on the Visual Productions stand, Hall 1 G23.

Theatrixx is new Canadian Distributor
We are pleased to announce Montreal based company, Theatrixx as our Distributor for the Canadian market. Theatrixx are known in Canada as both a Distributor of lighting, video and audio equipment as well as an International Manufacturer for their Cable and AC distribution systems.
During Prolight+Sound, Theatrixx CEO Jacques Tessier began to envisage the potential for Cuelux - the platform independent software lighting controller - on the Canadian market and on his return to Canada placed his initial stock order, confirming the Distribution deal.
On Theatrixx’ appointment as Visual Productions Distributor, Tessier states “This line of products is offering tremendous amount of possibilities for learning lighting programming for beginners as well as doing highly sophisticated programming for experienced designers; for both live and permanent installation. With the Visual Productions products there are no reasons for compromise anymore in all types of lighting installation.“

Cuelux Workshop 15 May, Musikhaus Thomann
This Saturday, Musikhaus Thomann invite all current, future and prospect Cuelux users to a Cuelux workshop.
Maarten Engels the designer of Cuelux and Director of Visual Productions will be leading the Workshops with the help and support of the Light Department at Thomann.

Cuelux now for 64 bit Windows 7
We are pleased to announce that we are one of the first software lighting control manufactures to overcome the incompatibilities of working with 64 bit Windows 7. Cuelux software lighting control is now more than ever proving to be a platform independent system that can be used on Windows and Mac operating systems.
We have made a Cuelux driver for all 64 bit versions of the Windows operating systems, XP, Vista and the new Windows 7. At the time of Vista, 64 bit versions gained popularity; now with the release of Windows 7 roughly half of all Windows 7 systems sold are 64 bit.
Developer Maarten Engels explains: “A key design goal for Cuelux was to offer cross-platform support, which we had already achieved for 32 bit windows and Mac OS. We are very excited about adding support for 64 bit windows, making the unique cross-platform feature even stronger.”

Visual Productions are exhibiting at Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt, Germany this Spring. You are welcome to visit us in the Messe's new hall, number 11.1 Stand D27.
We will be using this opportunity to meet with our exhisting customers, dealers and distributors to show them what's new from Visual Productions.
Also we will spend this time activly searching for new customers, dealers and distributors for areas where we are not yet so well represented.
We are exhibiting nearby our new distributor for Germany, LMP and look forward to marking this as a successful show for our products with their support on the German market.

January 2010 sees us joining our dealer, Full AVL Distribution at the Dutch tradeshow Vakbeurs Theatre Techniek.
